What is BLACKPINK? Is that a new cloth brand? Or a new kind of ice cream?
No, BLACKPINK isn't an ice cream neither a cloth brand
BLACKPINK is a South Korean girl group that formed by YG Entertaiment, one of the biggest entertaiment in South Korea. Blackpink is YG's second girl group after their sumbaenim (senior) , 2NE1.
BLACKPINK was originally named PINK PUNK that consist 9 members. But, for some reasons, The members were leaving YG, leaving only 4 members which are Jisoo, Jennie, Lisa, and Rosé. Then, four of them debuted as BLACKPINK. BLACKPINK debuted on August 8th 2016 at 8 PM KST (korean time). With their debut singles Boombayah and Whistle.
When they debuted, BLACKPINK received very good respons from netizen. BLACKPINK became the fastest group that got First Win on music show. They got it within 13 days since their debut.

Jennie Kim (Hangul: 김제니) was born on January 16th, 1996 at Seoul, South Korea. She is the first member that YG revealed to public, that was because she is the first member of BLACKPINK that joined YG Entertaiment. After she was born, with her family, she moved to Auckland, New Zealand. She lived and raised there until she was 14 years old. At that time, she moved to South Korea to join YG's idol audition. She was accepted to YG Entertaiment, and became the first member of BLACKPINK to do so.
Lalisa Manoban / Pranpriya Manoban (Thai : ปราณปริยา มโนบาล) was born on March 27th, 1997 at Bangkok, Thailand. She is the maknae (The youngest member) in BLACKPINK. She was ranked first in YG's Thailand audition at 2010. She joined YGE at the age of 14.
Kim Jisoo (Hangul: 김지수) was born on January 3rd, 1995 at Seoul, South Korea. She is the oldest member in BLACKPINK. She joined YG at the age of 16 and spending 5 years as a trainee.
Roseanne Park / Park Chaeyoung, or Rosé (Hangul: 박채영) was born on February 11th, 1997 at New Zealand. But, she was raised in Melbourne, Australia. She joined YG's Australia Audition and ranked 1st. She joined YGE at the age of 15. She spent 4 years as a trainee.
